so what?

I'm an educator, historian, a writer, and community builder.

Storytelling connects people and allows them to reflect on broader human experiences. I create community through clear, effective communication. My practice is guided by my values, which include clarity, collaboration, humour, creativity, diverse perspectives and cultural humility. I'm adept at clearly synthesizing multiple ideas into a coherent and comprehensive narrative.

After more than a decade working at university teaching and learning centres, I’ve joined the Center for Graduate Career Success. I’m also a part-time academic at universities in Halifax, NS. My PhD dissertation examined settler expectations of Indigenous performance at the Calgary Stampede.
